Lean postings

Blog postings have been a little lean, in fact non-existant for awhile. Real life family has been much more important and in the forefront.

My mother-in-law, Della, passed away on January 5th and we, especially my husband, have been not only dealing with our grief and all the missed times we had with her, but the difficulties of coordinating air travel, funeral arrangements and trying to settle an estate. Our lives leave so many loose ends and missed opportunities.

I thank all my friends who have been praying for us.

Happy Birthday to the G-Man!

A day late, but we were busy celebrating with the new PS3 yesterday.

Watch over thy child, O Lord, as his days increase; bless and
guide him wherever he may be. Strengthen him when he
stands; comfort him when discouraged or sorrowful; raise
him up if he falls; and in his heart may thy peace which
passeth understanding abide all the days of his life;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Cats and Rats and Dogs, Oh My!

Because it wasn't enough to have 4 cats and 2 rats, we have added a dog to the household.

Lola is a Teddy Roosevelt Rat Terrier (Please, no one tell the rats about this!) She is a rescued animal, of course.

This isn't a photo of her, but it looks just like her.

I am so delighted with the "Teddy Roosevelt" part. After Theology and Anglican History, my other obsession is TR.

Garfield makes Lasagna

My gamer-geek, movie-critic teenage son has made lasagna for dinner. All on his own. Without a recipe. It's awesome. In tribute to his sucess, I post this link, because he is a gamer, after all. Way to go, G-Man! I am so proud of you!
