h/t to Transfigurations
Awesome. And I must commend the girl's pro-choice teacher for being moved to allow this and fighting for the girl's right to give this speech.

Oh yeah, Movie Night
The G-Man just got home from the video store and we're watching this gem. Okay, already more vulgar and gross-out horror movie than I like, but G-man's been waiting for over a year to find this DVD. So, pop some corn and watch.

Monkey, Ape or Darwin?
According to a Gallup poll released yesterday, despite the relentless indoctrination of the American public, a tremendous number of us don't believe in Darwin. Most notably, I see that those who "cling to God" (and possibly guns) are among the most skeptical. Education levels seem to be a factor in belief - the more formal education in the American system you have, the more likely you will be a true believer in Evolution (blessed be it's randomness). Is this because you are smarter or because you have spent longer in the indoctrination process? I don't have the definitive answer to this question, but I would like to contribute this learned discussion to the Darwinian debate (and it's a catchy tune, too).........

Billy Ockham wastes his time.....
Billy and his wife had a Very Disappointing Movie Experience recently. Why not just pop in a DVD of "Army of Darkness"? Now that's a good movie! (Listed under the "Guilty pleasures" category.)

Cats and Rats and Dogs, Oh My!
Because it wasn't enough to have 4 cats and 2 rats, we have added a dog to the household.
Lola is a Teddy Roosevelt Rat Terrier (Please, no one tell the rats about this!) She is a rescued animal, of course.
This isn't a photo of her, but it looks just like her.
I am so delighted with the "Teddy Roosevelt" part. After Theology and Anglican History, my other obsession is TR.

Aslan is on the move!
After weeks and weeks of cold, snow and ice, we are finally getting our first thaw. It's a beautiful, muddy mess outside. I know Spring is still a long, long way away in Central New York, but this morning offers just a little bit of hope.
Now, off to church!
