Monkey, Ape or Darwin?

According to a Gallup poll released yesterday, despite the relentless indoctrination of the American public, a tremendous number of us don't believe in Darwin. Most notably, I see that those who "cling to God" (and possibly guns) are among the most skeptical. Education levels seem to be a factor in belief - the more formal education in the American system you have, the more likely you will be a true believer in Evolution (blessed be it's randomness). Is this because you are smarter or because you have spent longer in the indoctrination process? I don't have the definitive answer to this question, but I would like to contribute this learned discussion to the Darwinian debate (and it's a catchy tune, too).........
